When this video went viral, a discussion started among netizens. Some criticized Taskin, while many also commented in his favor.
In response to the allegations, Taskin said, “I strongly protest this incident. This is completely baseless and false. I did not beat anyone. This is a deliberate attempt to tarnish my reputation.”
He added, “I am a professional athlete. I follow the rules on the field, as well as I believe in respect and decency in my personal life. Someone is deliberately making such a video and spreading misinformation against me based on an old personal dispute.”
Taskin said he has already taken legal advice and will take legal action if necessary. “My family and fans are very distressed by this incident. I want to assure them that I am innocent,” he added.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has not yet officially commented on the matter. However, a BCB official said on condition of anonymity, “We are aware of the matter. If necessary, we will talk to Taskin and try to find out the real facts.”
Taskin is currently in a preparatory camp with the national team. Such allegations are said to have created an uncomfortable situation for him at such a time.
